Genevieve ErGenevieve Er

Named ‘the one to watch’ by The Sunday Telegraph in 2008, designer Genevieve Er has developed a dedicated following since her 2007 debut collection – This is Genevieve. Nominated in 2009 by Cosmopolitan Magazine for the Fun, Fearless Woman of the Year award, she is well-known within fashion industry circles for her high-end, stunning fashion pieces. Genevieve has contributed a designer t-shirt to the Because I am a Girl campaign.

Mia HandshinMia Handshin

Mia is a passionate supporter of Plan Australia and has been actively involved in the South Australian Friends of Plan and Women of Plan group for over four years.  Until recently, Mia worked as a senior Adviser to the Hon Kate Ellis, Minister for Early Childhood Education, Childcare and Youth and Sport in the Rudd Government. Prior to that she was a columnist and blogger for The Advertiser newspaper for a decade, worked in the law, interned at the International Crisis Group, Brussels and ran her own consultancy business Mana of Speaking.

Kate LangbroekKate Langbroek

Kate Langbroek has become one of Australia’s most influential media personalities.  What puts Kate in a league of her own is her individuality and outspoken nature. Kate’s ferocious wit, playfulness and complete candour with her audiences, has made her one of Australia’s top broadcasters and a household name. She currently co-hosts Nova 100’s (Melbourne) hugely popular Hughesy and Kate Breakfast Show and is also heard each weekend on the Nova national network. Kate is a mother of four young children, having recently given birth to her fourth child. 

Zoe NaylorZoe Naylor

Zoe is a woman of many talents, having worked in a diverse range of fields including theatre, film and television. She is perhaps best known in Australia for her role as Regan McLeod in McLeod's Daughters. Zoe has recently fronted ACP magazine’s 30 Days of Fashion, is an ambassador for Fashion Targets Breast Cancer and Mod Squad.

Ann SherryAnn Sherry AO

Ann is CEO of Carnival Australia, the world’s largest cruise ship operator that owns, amongst others, P&O Cruises, Princess Cruises, Costa, Cunard and Seabourn.  Prior to this, Ann was Chief Executive Officer, Westpac New Zealand and the first female CEO of a bank in New Zealand.  In January 2004 Ann was awarded an Order of Australia for her contribution to the Australian community through the promotion of corporate management policies and practices that embrace gender equity, social justice and work and family partnerships.

Anne SkipperAnne Skipper AM

Anne Skipper is an experienced businesswoman and has been a nurse, change agent, business owner, board director and public advocate in Australia. She has a diverse portfolio, having worked in government, private sector and community-based organisations in public health, media, women’s affairs, leadership, children and young people and, more recently, corporate governance. In 2000, Anne was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia for community service and is Chair of Plan International Australia’s Board.

Anne SkipperWendy McCarty

Wendy McCarthy began her career as a secondary school teacher and remains passionate about the power of education. For four decades she has been a teacher, educator and change agent in Australian public life. In November 2009, after 13 years of service, Wendy retired as the Vice-Chair of Plan International and as the Director of Plan Hong Kong and Plan Australia. In 2005 she was nominated by the Sydney Morning Herald as one of Australia’s Top 100 Public Intellectuals and was one of the finalists for the 2009 NSW Woman of the Year. Currently she is the Chair of Circus Oz; McGrath Estate Agents; headspace Mental Health Fund and the Pacific Friends of the Global Foundation.
